About The Job:
The Technical Accountant will be responsible for managing premium processing, including the collection and allocation of premiums, as well as overseeing reinsurance contract accounting. The role also involves supporting reconciliation, reporting, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of reinsurance principles, including treaty and facultative arrangements, and be familiar with regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Premium Processing – Collection and allocation of premiums, Accrual, commission, profit Sharing.
- Reinsurance Contract Accounting – Premium bordereaux and cash flow management.
- Commission and Profit-Sharing management.
- Reconciliation and Reporting – Regulatory, tax, audit support and contract analysis.
- Financial modelling – premium allocation, projections, and other technical calculations.
- Leverage new technologies to automate repetitive tasks and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Relevant internal and external reporting.
What Do You Need To Have:
- 3 – 5 years working experience in reinsurance
- Diploma/Degree and/or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Understanding of reinsurance principles, including treaty and facultative arrangements
- Familiarity with insurance regulatory requirements and compliance standards
- Able to work independently
- Good work ethic and team player
